I'm Rena Nakajima. I live in Toronto and I like building things.

I've lived a chaotic lifestyle for as long as I can remember. My mum, an academic, challenged me to succeed in school, and my dad, an athlete, pushed me to get outside and adventure.

I grew up in a mountain town and am an outdoors enthusiast at my core. I have an itch to explore the world: explore new places, new thinking, and new ideas. With a desire to grow my independence, I moved across the country and spent the last 5 years in Toronto, studying. Now that I have graduated, I'm excited to continue my journey as I pursue opportunities to maximize my learning.

I spent the last two summers living some of the most transformational experiences of my life. Last summer, I spent 5 months solo-travelling, 3 of which I spent roadtripping around the U.S. in my self-converted camper. This past summer, I started my first company and participated in a program called the Next 36. The Next36 program is designed to inspire the next generation of young Canadian entrepreneurs to create a global impact. As part of the twenty-somethings crew, I'm energized to pursue experiences that challenge me to step outside of my comfort zone.

Today, I'm the founder of Planni, where we're streamlining financial forecasting for property developers. We provide small-to-mid-sized developers with the tools to improve accuracy and save time when forecasting for residential real estate projects. Canada has a housing crisis and we want to help build a more attainable future for fellow Canadians.
